What experience do I need to be a tour guide
Being a tour guide is a different type of career and although there are no degree requirements there are some criteria for you to get employed. In the UK and some other countries you can take a certificate or diploma in travel and tourism which can enhance employment prospects. 

Personal skills are very important, you will need to be a passionate, positive, fun and an outgoing person who is healthy and has lots of confidence and energy. You must be able to work independently and with team and have good people skills. If you know any foreign languages this will increase your chances of getting hired and also if you have any first aid certifications or a driving licence.

Where can I work as a tour guide?
You could work all over the world and it really depends on the specific employer. As a tour guide you could work for example in a variety of places like museums, historical landmarks, sporting areas, cities, and other areas that are of interest to tourists local to where you live. Some global travel operators offer positions all around the world where you can lead tours to individual countries, or go overland and explore whole continents.
