Working in Canada as an American?

Hey there,

I was hoping to try to work a ski season in Canada this year, but it seems to be a bit harder to find work casually as an American. I see that we don't get a working holiday visa, and if we want to get a working permit, we have to be sponsored by a company. I had planned on working hospitality in one of the ski towns like Big White, but I don't think I'll find a place to sponsor me before I arrive.

Has any American done a ski season in Canada and have some advice? Is it easy to find under the table work?

Thank you!

We help people work at resorts like Big White and but Whistler which is an amazing experience but we do not encourage or advise on illegal work outside a visa. To find positions and recruiters search seasonal jobs in Canada or ski resort jobs.
