What is a good salary to live in Phuket?
Hi all,
I am getting interviewed for a teaching post in Phuket which pays 100,000 Thai Baht and includes housing. Has anyone lived in Phuket? What is it like? Is it just a holiday bubble place? Can I live comfortably on this salary?

Phuket is a province of Thailand. It is also an island roughly the size of Singapore. There are many areas which are not swamped by tourists.
You can live pretty much any lifestyle you want there. Your wages will be quite good and you should be able to live very well on the local economy, but there are easy ways to burn through all of it. quickly. The housing allowance is not much but will get you a decent place in a secure area.
It all depends - what are you looking for? Hoping for? Are you single, married, other? A party person? Are you wanting to stay a long time? Have you worked in other countries?
