Moving to the UK permanently what to bring and what to leave?
I am so excited to say I will be making the big move from Boston to UK this September. I lived there years ago for uni and moved back to states, realizing much later on in life that the UK is my true home and where I am most happy in life. So after a year and half of applying for jobs finally got sponsored , and slowly starting to get myself organized to leave. I wanted to reach out to see from people who have moved abroad permanently what you took and what you left behind? I am not taking any furniture with me but after reading many posts and remembering how expensive everything is thinking that might be smart to take other things such as good pots and pans, bedding, etc. Does anyone have any tips on what they took or maybe regret not taking with them that is really expensive over there? Also Since I am not bringing furniture but will probably have at least 4-5 suitcases is it cheaper to just get the allowance on the plane and pay extra for baggage or to ship them over ? Any and all suggestions on making the big move would be greatly appreciated !!! Thanks 🙂
