Can I get a working holiday visa if I have children?
Quote from alex_uk on February 5, 2025, 12:31 pmMy girlfriend and I are in our 20’s but we also have a child who is a year old. We are very eager to move to another country. We’re very set and determined, our only two issues are money and where would be best for a family as well as a decent transition. Are families eligible for working holiday visa jobs? If so what kind of jobs did you find? What are some countries to move to? If anyone has any tips for moving abroad with family let me know please.

Quote from Seasonal Jobs Abroad on February 7, 2025, 11:00 amIt is much easier to move to another country if you are transferred there or have a employment opportunity already lined up, as most countries, you need a Work Visa to work there, otherwise, you are there on a Tourist Visa, and its illegal to work on a tourist visa.
If you do not have a professional background, it will be difficult unless you maybe invest in a business which requires usually a lot of money, even to start a cafe etc, surf shop or whatever...
If you want to do a working holiday e.g. find jobs in Australia, unfortunately on the WH visa you can't enter with children.
The only other option is to both get a TEFL English Teaching certificate and get employed as teachers, in some countries like China, that are paying $2000+pm and in some cities includes housing, albeit basic. Then the school hiring you gets your Work Visa before you arrive...
