We are a successful family-run business growing and supplying fruit, manufacturing food products and running a café and farm shop in the heart of the Howe of the Mearns in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK.
At Castleton Farm, we produce the best traditional Scottish food, all grown, picked and processed on our family farm.
Careers
Our enthusiastic and hard-working team includes the smiling faces serving up the delicious food in our café, to the administrative staff working away behind the scenes through to the packhouse and picking teams who play the vital role in getting our fruit to market.
Seasonal Work
Our team that works on the farm is employed on both a full-time and seasonal basis.
Every year, we employ over 600 seasonal workers, with 500 living and working on the farm at the peak of the season.
Many of our seasonal staff return year after year. In fact, more than half who choose to work with us have worked with us before.
Since the UK’s exit from the European Union in 2020, we recruit our seasonal workers through the Seasonal Workers Pilot (SWP) scheme, which allows workers to spend six months in the UK.
Our business relies so heavily on having enough people to pick our crop, worker welfare is a key priority. Without our team, we cannot pick and tend our fruit.
Working in Scotland is a big commitment, so if you are interested in joining the Castleton Farm workforce, it is important to us that you understand what is involved.
During your time with Castleton, we want you to have a good experience and the opportunity to earn money.
So all our workers have a virtual face-to-face conversation with our recruitment team, and receive an information pack in their own language before they book their travel.
We also send you a contract in your native language to read through and sign before you arrive at the farm.
