Working in Italy FAQ

Language
For most seasonal type work advertised online in English, then English will be only the language required. Of course if you know basic Italian then this will really boost your chances of finding employment over other non-Italian speakers. We recommend starting to learn basic Italian online.

Visa and Eligibility
If you have EU citizenship you can move to Italy without a visa. From overseas outside of the EU, you will usually need to get a company to sponsor your visa. This is more difficult and there are less jobs available to non-EU citizens, but it is possible depending on your skills and experience. Some companies offer seasonal jobs to British and other nationalities with visa sponsorship

Salaries
Salaries are high by European standards and you will be paid in the Euro. What you get paid really depends on the employer and your role.

Cost of Living
The cost of living depends on where you live. In Rome and Milan prices for accommodation are high by European/world averages but most seasonal employers provide accommodation for free. This is a great way to save money.
